Community open house Feb. 18 on air toxics in North Portland

Community members are invited to an open house on Thursday, Feb. 18, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Tubman Building, 2231 N Flint Ave. in Portland.  State and local experts will share what they know about high levels of cadmium and arsenic detected nearby.

The public is invited to meet with staff from the Department of Environmental Quality, the Oregon Health Authority,  the U.S. Forest Service, and state and local elected officials.

The Multnomah County Health Department and Portland Public Schools are hosting the Open House. Childcare is available.

Community members can visit agency stations and view maps from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Multnomah County Health Department will open the public Question and Answer at 6:30 p.m.
