March 6, 2017

One outside traffic lane will be closed on the Morrison Bridge from March 6 – 10 during the biennial structural inspection of the bridge.  All public bridges are required to have an independent structural inspection every two years. The inspectors will work from a man lift.

  • From March 6 to mid-day on March 8, the outside right eastbound lane will be closed from 7 am to 3:30 pm.  The man-lift will be in the bicycle-pedestrian path from 8:30 am until as late as 5 pm, but the path will remain open.
  • From mid-day on March 8 to March 10, the outside right westbound lane will be closed until 5 pm.  The lane will close on March 9 – 10 starting at 9 a.m.  The man-lift will be in the closed lane.
  • All bridge ramps will remain open during the work.

Multnomah County maintains the Morrison Bridge and five other Willamette River bridges. For more information, visit www.multco.us/bridges.
