The closure of one lane on SW Madison Street between SW Second Ave. and SW Naito Parkway has been extended until as late as July 3 to accommodate construction of the new Central Courthouse. During this time bicyclists and pedestrians will share a path on SW Madison Street between SW First Ave. and SW Naito Parkway, approaching the Hawthorne Bridge. One lane will remain open for traffic. The closures will allow Hoffman Construction to complete frontage improvements on the north side of the new courthouse, including a sidewalk and stairs to SW Naito Parkway.
