Donations sought for Kyron Horman search team members

June 10, 2010

Search and rescue teams have responded from all over the state to help the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) continue its search for seven-year-old Kyron Horman, a Portland boy who has been missing since Friday. Now the Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s assistance in providing provisions for these search team members.

Family friends have collaborated with local business and the Sheriff’s Office to set up drop-off sites where the community can donate necessary food and drink items for searchers. Volunteers will pick up the donations from the four sites and bring them to the search command center.

Donations most needed include:

  • Bottled water
  • Sports drinks
  • Juice
  • Trail mix
  • Jerky
  • Energy/protein bars
  • Nuts
  • Perishables and homemade items are not accepted, and individually wrapped packages are preferred.
