Recently, 20 people in a Facebook group contributed so many items to survivors of domestic violence and their children that our staff member’s cubicle was full to the top, and it took two carloads to drop off goods!
Our DVERT team works with Portland Police to respond to life-threatening domestic violence crises. Often times the families involved leave home with none of the basics like personal hygiene items.
Right now, families are in need of:
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Shampoo /Conditioner
  • Culturally Specific Hair Products
  • Bar Soap- Variety
  • Body/ Face Wash
  • Body/ Hand Lotions
  • Tampons- Variety
  • Pads- Individually Wrapped
  • Combs/ Brushes
  • Culturally-Specific Combs/Brushes
  • Disposable diapers
If you’re able to contribute any of these items to survivors and their families please email: or call 503.988.2500 to coordinate a drop-off.
And please share this post so we can make sure families have what they need.
