Do you belong to a FamilyCare Medicare plan?

They will stop their coverage effective June 30, 2018. If you have FamilyCare, you need to act now to get a new health plan.

FamilyCare mailed a letter to their plan members on May 11th explaining this action, and offering ideas for finding a different plan.

Here's what you should do:

1) Gather these items:

  1. A list of the medications you take and the pharmacy you use.

  2. The first and last names of the doctors, clinics, and providers you use.

  3. Your Medicare card and your Family Care card.

2) Ask your doctor’s office which Medicare health plans they accept.

3) Find out which plans will work for you!

If you have Medicare and Medicaid (Oregon Health Plan), you can call your Medicaid branch. To do-it-yourself, go online to Medicare.gov, or call 1-800-Medicare (1-800-633-4227). They are open 24/7

You can also get help comparing plans by calling SHIBA (Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance) at 1-800-722-4134.
