Prior to joining Multnomah County, Waltz worked at the City of Portland’s Office of the Chief Administrative Officer as strategic planning and development manager for the Strategic Projects and Policy Team. In that position, she was project manager for the reconstruction of the Portland Building, and several citywide projects.
Waltz previously worked for the Portland Bureau of Transportation as the resource development manager, where she managed the Portland Street Fund. At PBOT she also served as transportation asset manager overseeing city transportation assets valued at $10 billion. Waltz also formerly worked for Multnomah County’s Health Department as a research analyst.
Jamie holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of California at Los Angeles.

The Department of Community Services includes general government services including animal services, elections, land use planning and transportation.
