There is no requirement to make estimated Multnomah County income tax payments. Some taxpayers, however, like to make estimated payments because they wish to avoid having to make one lump sum payment. Any tax payment made in a tax year qualifies as an itemized deduction for that year and reduces your federal and state of Oregon income taxable income - if you itemize. For example, if you make the payment in 2005, then it is deductible on your 2005 federal and state income tax returns.

If you wish to make 2005 estimated tax payments, you may do so using a 2005 Form MC ES 2005 MC ES: Individual Payment Coupon (265.88 KB). You can also file and pay estimated payments online.
