Multco seeks early design advice at April 14 hearing

April 5, 2016

The city of Portland Bureau of Development Services will hold a design advice hearing on the proposed Health Department Headquarter plans on Thursday, April 14, at 1:30 p.m.

This is a voluntary step that allows the Design Commission to provide early feedback on the proposed development before the required land use review.

Multnomah County is proposing a nine-story, 157,000 square foot headquarters next to the Bud Clark Commons.

The ground floor design includes a pharmacy, lobby, workspace and loading area. Upper levels include health clinics and administrative work space. Exterior materials include off-white brick, concrete base, metal panels, and clear glass windows. Modifications are requested for standards for ground floor active use, transit street main entrance, and window projections in the right of way.

To view project information (including drawings), please visit the Design Commission and click on the link at the top of the first page. This link is continually updated and will have the latest information including any follow-up hearing dates.

This process is advisory only and responses may inform City staff when processing future land use reviews, but will not be considered a formal Commission directive. City staff document any comment provided at the meeting and make it available for future reference.

The review is in Room 2500A,  1900 SW Fourth Ave., Portland, OR 97201.
