Gresham, TBD
9:00 am to 4:30 pm

Offered by the Community Capacitation Center, this workshop is for those who would like to deepen their understanding of popular education and how to apply it in real life.

This workshop is for you if you've already attended our introduction to popular education workshop, or have experience using popular education.

You will learn:

  • How to create an inclusive learning environment
  • How to apply the principles of popular education in your daily work
  • A format for creating workshop lesson plans using popular education
  • How to use effective facilitation skills in challenging situations

Popular education is based on the idea that no matter our occupation and level of formal education, we all know a great deal as a result of our life experience. Therefore educators should start with what people already know and build on it.
