October 25, 2012-- All Hands Raised hosted the annual Principal for Almost a Day for community leaders and educators in schools across the Portland Public School District. Multnomah County Commissioner Loretta Smith had the oppertunity to shaddow Parkrose High School Principal Jared Freeman for the half-day event, and spoke with students in the Parkrose HS literacy improvement class and the video production class. Community leaders and principals participating in the event then convened for a lunch to share their experiences from the day and to learn about the current policy priorities of All Hands Raised for schools and youth in Portland Public Schools.
