The soon-to-open Gateway Center is the result of a collaborative effort between the City of Portland and Multnomah County to improve services to victims of domestic violence. The City of Portland will provide the administrative infrastructure for the center and Multnomah County will provide the facility. Administrators expect the center to open in early 2010. For more information on this center, please see the Report to LPSCC on the Implementation of the Gateway Center for Domestic Violence Services , presented to LPSCC at its October meeting.
