This proposal creates a secure website that would allow DHS, law enforcement, the medical community and prosecutors to store and retrieve photographs taken of children’s injuries. Prosecutors could review the photographs to determine whether or not to issue charges on a custody case, DHS workers could access the photographs for use in juvenile court at a preliminary hearing, and medical doctors could view the photographs while children a physical exam. The website would also allow immediate access to a client’s photographic history of abuse.
