Multnomah County Elections Mails Ballots to More than 560,000 Registered Voters for the November 3 General Election.

The United States Postal Service has begun delivering ballots today, Wednesday, October 14 for the upcoming election. As a voter in Multnomah County, you can sign up for our Track Your Ballot service at to know when your ballot is on its way to you. If you do not receive your ballot by Thursday, October 22, take action and contact the county elections office at 503.988.VOTE (8683).

Oregon’s November 3 General Election includes federal, state, and local candidate races as well as both statewide and local ballot measures. You can find out more information about the candidates and measures that will be on your ballot in both the Oregon State Online Voters’ Guide (PDF)   and the Multnomah County Voters’ Pamphlet. The League of Women Voters and Disability Rights Oregon have also produced nonpartisan voting guides.

The Oregon Voter Registration Deadline has passed. If you have not already done so, we ask that you check that your voter registration information is accurate and up-to-date.  If you have moved, update your mailing address NOW to ensure you receive a ballot. Ballots are not forwardable mail. You can update your voter registration information at

Sign up for Track Your Ballot

Do you want to know when your ballot has been mailed out? Sign up for Track Your Ballot and get a virtual “I Voted” sticker. Text, email, or voice alerts will tell you when the county elections office has mailed your ballot, and upon return when we have received your ballot. Alerts also indicate whether the ballot has been accepted for counting or whether it requires further action by the voter. Inside the “Accepted Ballot” message, voters will get access to a special Oregon “I Voted” sticker ready to share on social media. Multnomah County voters can sign up by visiting

Two Choices to Return Your Ballot 

As a voter, you have two choices in returning your ballot. Vote early and return your ballot by mail. No stamp needed! Get your ballot in the mail to us by Tuesday, October 27 (earlier if you are mailing from out of state) to ensure it is received by our office on time. Postmarks do not count in Oregon. 

You can also return your ballot to an Official Ballot Drop Site. Return your ballot to any 24-hour Official Ballot Drop Site in the state or to any 24-hour Multnomah County Library Drop Site. All 30 Multnomah County Official Ballot Drop Sites are listed below and at

No matter how you choose to return your ballot, it must be received by 8:00 PM on Election Night, November 3, 2020.

Official Ballot Drop Box Changes in North Portland

UPDATE: The North Lombard Street Goodwill Official Ballot Drop Box has been relocated, just two blocks east, to the rear parking lot of the Green Zebra Grocery Kenton location at 3011 N Lombard Street. Please note, the entrance for Green Zebra Grocery rear parking lot is on N Curtis Avenue. 

NEW: We are also excited to announce a new Official Ballot Drop Box, at McCoy Park in North Portland, for the November 3 General Election. The Official Ballot Drop Box, which is a walk-up-only box, is located on the southeast corner of McCoy Park near the intersection of North Trenton Street and North Newman Avenue. 

30 Multnomah County Official Ballot Drop Sites to Serve You

Multnomah County has thirty Official Ballot Drop Sites available now until 8PM on Election Day for you to return your ballot.  Official Ballot Drop Sites include all Multnomah County Library locations. Please return your voted ballot to the Official Ballot Drop Site closest to you to reduce congestion at other locations.  Ballots will be picked up from library locations and Official Ballot Drop Boxes on a regular schedule.
