Multnomah County and the City of Portland have launched the Joint Volunteer Information Center to coordinate a regional response to COVID-19. Organizations and individuals across the area have asked how they can help, offering their time and goods to help slow the spread of this virus.
Please check this page frequently as needs for donations and volunteers will change rapidly.

Interested in volunteering? We are currently in need of volunteers who are available on-site for at least two 8-hour shifts a week on an ongoing basis at our Emergency Operations Center, and at various emergency and physical distancing shelters.
We have opportunities in the following areas:
- Data management
- Personnel management
- Call center
- Shelter staff
As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside and connect with staff and volunteers while serving our communities. You will learn about our county’s public health response and general emergency operations while supporting these essential functions.

Donate personal protective equipment
We are currently seeking specific protective gear, which should be unused and in good condition:
- Procedural masks
- Surgical masks
- N95 respirators and N95 filters
- Other respirators (P100's, PAPR's, and PAPR supplies or parts)
- Hand sanitizer
- Disinfecting wipes
Donate other goods and services
The Joint response is also seeking donations of:
- Home-made face covers or home-made cloth face coverings
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registered disinfectant
- Sleeping bags
- Warm blankets
- Hand warmers
- Hygiene kits
- Bottled water
- Snack bars
- Ice packs
No longer accepting
- Face shields
- Splash shields
- Incomplete masks or face shields (our team doesn’t have capacity to assemble masks from donated materials)
- Medical and first-aid supplies not listed above
- Pet food
