The Department Review Program offers volunteers the chance to enhance citizen participation in county decision-making while learning more about the services the county provides.

Through the program, volunteers meet with a particular department's senior management, discuss how to improve that department's citizen involvement efforts, and make recommendations to the department's director.

The program taps the enormous reservoir of experience and knowledge that our citizenry represents and connects it to the appropriate decision-makers. It also betters volunteers' understanding of county services and demonstrates to the public that we seriously considers citizen input in making policy decisions.
