The Multnomah County Board of Commissioners approved a proclamation on Thursday proclaiming April 18th through April 24th, 2010 as Multnomah County Volunteer Week, and April 27th as a special day of recognition for Multnomah County Volunteers. 

At the meeting, the board members held a poster showing the value of volunteer hours to the County has increased each year over the last five years. During the last fiscal year, volunteers dedicated 137,654 volunteer hours to county programs and projects equaling a value of $3,274,268.
