Multnomah County Corrections Health (MCCH) was seeking an experienced Contractor to provide inhouse dialysis services for individuals incarcerated in the Multnomah County Detention Center (MCDC).

The County has an interest in measures used by its suppliers to ensure sustainable operations with minimal adverse impact on the environment. Medical waste incinerators emit toxic air pollutants, are a major source of dioxins in the environment, and generate ash that is potentially hazardous. Describe in detail your sustainability process for effectively reducing or eliminating the amount of medical bio-hazardous waste sent to incinerators.

What is your process for medical waste minimization and segregation both upstream (purchasing) and downstream (disposal)?
