View entire RFP Richardson Property Deconstruction Services

This procurement was for the deconstruction and demolition of the existing six Richardson buildings and adjacent detached structures.

Sustainability Questions Used (additional sustainability references on pages 7 and 9):

(a) Describe your approach to salvaging and recycling all materials to the greatest extent possible. Use the Recycling Spreadsheet (RFP Attachment E) to list the disposition of each type of material. Attach the spreadsheet as an appendix to this section of your response (does not count toward total page limit).

(b) Describe the different types of waste materials anticipated on this project and your proposed means and methods for reuse, recycling and disposal that will support Multnomah County’s construction waste diversion goals. Include in your response references to how waste will be identified for reuse and recycling, typical methods of disposal by type of material, and recycling and waste management facilities that will be receiving the materials. Proposers may highlight key elements of a waste management plan that it utilized on a similar project. (c) How will your firm assure accurate reporting of recycling and disposal activities?

(d) Describe your approach to maximizing fuel efficiency and reducing CO2 and particulate matter (PM) emissions from the use of vehicles and other heavy equipment (on and off road). Include details such as average fleet fuel economy, use of emission control devices (DPF, DOC), ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) or biodiesel, and anti-idling policies. Describe any purchase or lease of alternative fuel, hybrid or fuel efficient vehicles.
