Map of Germantown Road slide repair project area
Replacement of a failed culvert will require a section of NW Germantown Road between NW Skyline Blvd. and NW Kaiser Road to be closed to through traffic from Monday, October 15 at 7:30 am until as late as Monday, October 22.

A culvert that carries stormwater under the road near 13766 NW Germantown Road has failed, leading to erosion and damage to the road. A contractor will replace the culvert, repair the slope, add a guardrail and realign the road away from the slope.

Traffic impacts include:

  • Local traffic, emergency and delivery vehicles will be able to access NW Germantown Rd. up to the full closure where the culvert is being replaced.
  • Alternate routes for through traffic include NW Springville Road, NW Skyline Blvd. and NW Cornelius Pass Road
  • Local traffic only are recommended for NW Old Germantown Road, a narrow, steep and winding road that is not suitable as a detour.

The $240,000 project is funded primarily by federal funds with a 10% match by Multnomah County. For project information visit: www.multco.us/germantown or follow us on Twitter @MultCoRoads.
