SUN Services and Initiatives
SUN Community Schools are full-service neighborhood hubs where the school and community come together to make sure kids and families have what they need to be successful in school and life.
Child Development Services provides services for families of children (birth through age 5) to promote positive parenting, health child development and school readiness.
SUN Youth Advocacy provides services for middle and high school-aged youth and their families so that youth are successful at school.
Assisting homeless and low-income households to leave poverty and become self sufficient. Includes: energy assistance, rent assistance, housing, housing, skill-building, early childhood programs.
This SUN Service System program provides community services specifically for sexual and gender minority youth and their families so that youth remain in or return to school.
Alcohol and drug screening, assessment, referral and limited treatment for families participating the SUN Service System and families with children ages 12-17.

The SUN Service System sees hunger relief as vital to support other services and initiatives provided for educational success and self-sufficiency of children and families in SUN Community Schools.
Kindergarten Counts is a community wide campaign in Multnomah County bringing together early childhood and school partners to promote successful kindergarten transitions in SUN Community Schools.
