Job description

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  • Plan, organize, schedule, and prioritize design and production steps for media projects; consult with clients in determining project purpose, scope, and budget; provide updated project information.
  • Research and determine design and production methods; use complex design techniques for the production of materials for various media platforms; identify appropriate vendors for media projects; ensure a consistent format for print and digital outlets; monitor media sources.
  • Design, create, and produce complex concepts and layouts; generate original pieces to meet client requests; provide web development for department projects.
  • Coordinate the editing, translating, proofreading, and approving of all media materials; oversee and monitor vendor work to ensure production quality and compliance with county and department requirements and deadlines.
  • Coordinate and track maintenance and enhancements for design systems and materials; research and troubleshoot issues; research, collect, update, and maintain art files, samples, and resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. Requirements are determined at the time of recruitment based on responsibilities of the individual position and business needs of the department.

Creative Media Coordinator

Training and experience for journey level, professional classifications are typically equivalent to a bachelor's degree and one (1) to four (4) years of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. (Equivalency 5-8 years of qualifying training and/or experience).

Depending upon assignment, candidates may be required to pass a criminal background check, have a valid driver license, and/or additional training, licenses, or certificates.
