Multnomah County REACH works with our partners to increase Black breastfeeding rates through positive media campaigns, training and webinars, and the creation of lactation public and private spaces. We address breastfeeding disparities by providing culturally-specific education and policy recommendations while simultaneously normalizing breastfeeding in our communities.

Goals

  • Normalize breastfeeding in our communities.
  • Support training for Black certified lactation consultants (CLCs).
  • Promote the creation of public and private lactation spaces.
  • Encourage employers to create lactation-friendly spaces.

Northeast Health Center 5329 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97211

You can access the Northeast Health Center space through the parking lot between NE Emerson and NE Killingsworth. Ring the bell to be let into the space during regular business hours.

Rockwood Market Hall 458 SE 185th Ave, Portland, OR 97233

You can access the Rockwood Market Hall space by asking a vendor for the code during regular business hours.
