We are currently in the fieldwork phase of this audit focused on the Preschool for All program. During this phase, we are focused on the following objectives and scope.
Objectives:
- Determine the extent to which the Preschool and Early Learning Division’s application and enrollment process provides access to preschool for each of the priority populations.
- Determine the extent to which the Preschool and Early Learning Division supports and monitors preschools to serve priority populations and provide inclusive, culturally responsive preschool.
- Assess the Preschool and Early Learning Division’s progress toward universal preschool and identify barriers to achieve universal preschool by 2030.
Scope:
We will look at the program from its start through the present. However, data analysis will focus on the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years. We may also include some preliminary data for the 2024-25 school year if it is available.
