The east sidewalk on SW First Avenue will be closed between SW Madison St. and SW Jefferson St. in downtown Portland starting the week of December 10 due to demolition and construction work related to Multnomah County’s Central Courthouse.
The historic Jefferson Station building at the corner of First and Jefferson is being remodeled as part of the courthouse project. The east sidewalk will reopen in spring 2019 when the exterior structural work on Jefferson Station is complete. In the meantime, the west sidewalk on SW First Avenue remains opens to pedestrians.
