During the Thursday, Oct. 27 board meeting, the Board of County Commissioners will vote on a countywide ban of Bisphenol A, a toxic chemical found in beverage containers such as baby bottles, sports bottles and sippy cups.
Before the vote, the Board of Commissioners will have two public hearings on this issue scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 and 10 a.m. on Oct. 27. Both hearings will be held in the board room at 501 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd. Community members are encouraged to attend and share their views on this important public health concern.
