County Board's Next Public Hearing for Proposed Budget is on May 31

May 27, 2011

On Tuesday, May 31, the Multnomah County Board of Commissioners will hold the last of its three scheduled public hearings on the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at IRCO, 10301 NE Glisan St. To watch videos of the board's previous public hearings on the proposed budget or board work sessions on different pieces of the budget, go here.

Following the May 31 public hearing, the board is scheduled to adopt a budget for fiscal year 2012 at its June 9 meeting. County Chair Jeff Cogen has said it's highly likely the county will have to readjust its adopted budget after the state and federal governments make their own cuts later this year. State and federal sources combine for about 30 percent of the county's funding.
