Do I need a permit for that? April Land Use Open Houses

September 24, 2010

Throughout the month of April, Multnomah County Land Use Planning will host a series of four informal open house meetings April 2010 Open Houses (81.45 KB) that will seek to answer questions residents may have, like “Does my project need a permit?” and “What are the types of code compliance cases in my area?” The open houses will provide citizens the opportunity to get answers about everything from land use and code compliance to property uses, long range planning and road/transportation projects. The areas of Multnomah County included in the discussion are the National Scenic Area, East of Sandy River, West of Sandy River, West Hills, and Sauvie Island/Multnomah Channel.

By providing residents who live outside the Urban Growth Boundary with this chance to have their questions and hesitations addressed, Land Use and Transportation staff may be able to save Multnomah County residents time, effort and money later on. These meetings are open to the public and those in this area who are thinking about a building a new house, private road, outbuilding or improving their property are especially encouraged to attend.
