
The Office of Community Involvement hosts the Annual Volunteer Awards, where we honor Multnomah County's dedicated volunteers for their service.
We also support several individual achievement awards, including:
The HILLTOP Awards (Heroes Inspiring Leadership, Learning, Teamwork, Opportunity and Pride), created in 2006 to honor individual and organizational efforts to address poverty in Multnomah County. It is awarded by the Department of Human Services through the Multnomah County Commission for Economic Dignity. Awards are given in Individual Achievement, Agency Staff / Volunteer Achievement, and Public Official Achievement.
The Gladys McCoy Lifetime Achievement Award is managed by the Office of Community Involvement and honors the legacy of former Multnomah County Chair Gladys McCoy by recognizing someone in Multnomah County who models Ms. McCoy's ideals. The McCoy Award is on pause for 2022-2025.
The Jennifer Beegle Award for Youth Involvement, is given by the Multnomah Youth Commission to honor youth volunteerism. It highlights the positive impact youth have on their community. This award is given in memory of Jennifer Beegle, a former member of the Multnomah County Youth Commission.
