Accessible and effective mental health care is one of the most important needs facing our community. For the past eight months, Human Services Research Institute (HSRI) has worked with Multnomah County to study the local mental health system.

On June 28, 2018 Commissioner Sharon Meieran hosted an event to give constituents an opportunity to hear from the lead researcher with HSRI about the study findings and recommendations for next steps, as well as ask questions. Over 100 people attended, including individuals with lived experience, service providers, County staff, and elected officials.

Below you will find a direct download copy of the report itself, the powerpoint presentation used by lead researcher, as well as videos of the presentation and Q&A session. You may find it useful to view the powerpoint presentation at the same time as you watch or listen to the video presentation.

We plan to finalize the Mental Health Systems Analysis Report by the end of July 2018 as the first version was a draft.

Commissioner Meieran welcomes your comments, questions, and ideas about this any other project.  You can contact Commissioner Meieran by e-mail at District1@multco.us or by phone at (503) 988-5220.
