Recording Fees

Fees charged for recording a document with the county clerk

Deeds

These include documents such as deeds, covenants, easements, and other ownership documents.

  • $86 for the first page
  • $5 for each additional page

Mortgages

These include mortgage documents such as deeds of trust, satisfaction / release of these documents.

  • $86 for the first page
  • $5 for each additional page

Liens

These include construction liens, attorney's liens, and homeowner association liens.

  • $76 for the first page
  • $5 for each additional page

Judgments (money award only)

These include renewals, releases, extensions, assignments and abstract of judgments

  • $16 for the first page
  • $5 for each additional page

Judgments (awarding property)

These include judgments awarding real property and judgment amendments

  • $76 for the first page
  • $5 for each additional page

Judgment Satisfaction

  • $5 for each page

Plats

  • $9 for each mylar page that is being recorded
  • $2 per copy of each mylar page

Copies

  • Emailed copies: $3.75 per document / set of mylars
  • Staff made copies: $3.75 location fee and 25 cents per page
  • Certified copies:
    • $3.75 location fee
    • $3.75 certification fee
    • 25 cents per page
  • Self made document copies in our lobby: 25 cents per page

Additional Fees

Additional fee for cover page

If the required blank space for our recording label (4” X 2”) is not available, our recording label will be placed on a cover page and added to your document. An additional $5 will be assessed for adding this cover page. If the cover page does not meet statutory first page requirements, a $20 non standard fee will also be assessed.

Additional titles

An additional fee of $5 will be charged for documents that contain more than one transaction (ORS 205.236). Example: Substitution of Trustee & Deed of Reconveyance (one document containing two separate transactions) $86 first page + $5 for each additional title (+ $5 for each additional page).

Additional references

An additional fee of $5 will be charged for each additional document reference (assignment, satisfaction, or release) involving the same parties and the same properties in a single document (ORS 205.302(12)).

Re-recording

The fee for re-recording a document is $5 per page including the cover page and the certification page.
