Job description

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  • Print materials as part of pre-press production, including producing camera ready art, creating half-tone and one, two, and multi-color work for finished printed pieces; process film and assemble film images; process metal printing plates using multiple burns; and mix inks to match colors.
  • Cut, fold, and assemble stock paper and finished pieces.
  • Establish and maintain contact with clients and suppliers; provide direction of work assigned to outside printers and vendors; review work for accuracy and content.
  • Maintain equipment, inventory stock, and printing records; make recommendations for outside vendors and purchases of equipment, paper, and other printing supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. Requirements are determined at the time of recruitment based on responsibilities of the individual position and business needs of the department.

Printing Specialist

Training and experience for this journey level, technical classification is typically equivalent to an associate's degree and up to four (4) years of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. (Equivalency 2-6 years of qualifying training and/or experience).

Depending upon assignment, candidates may be required to pass a criminal background check, have a valid driver license, and/or additional training, licenses, or certificates.
