Multnomah County, Ore. (April 1, 2024) — On Friday, March 15, leaders from American Medical Response (AMR), Multnomah County’s Health Department and Chair Jessica Vega Pederson’s office concluded a full-day mediation process focused on improving ambulance response times in Multnomah County.
Positive steps were made in the mediation session, and both parties are working collaboratively with the common goal of serving Multnomah County with the highest level of care possible while also considering the national paramedic shortage impacting EMS systems nationwide.
To build on that positive momentum, a second mediation session is planned for this month. More information will be available in the coming weeks.
