Neighbors, media invited to new Willamette Center shelter Open House

Neighbors, the public and media are invited to join Multnomah County Chair Deborah Kafoury to tour the Willamette Center, a new 24/7 shelter for 120 women and couples in S.E. Portland on Monday, Nov.  14, 2016.

Doors open to tour the site from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Remarks by Chair Kafoury and George Devendorf,  executive director of Transition Projects, will be at 12:15 p.m. 

The Willamette Center, at 5120 S.E. Milwaukie Ave., is a project of A Home for Everyone, the city of Portland and Multnomah County. It will be managed by Transition Projects, which operates the Hansen Shelter,  the Day Center at Bud Clark Commons, short-term residential and permanent housing programs and services for veterans.
