No worksite exposure found after Juvenile Services employee tests positive for COVID

Multnomah County is closely following public health guidance to ensure the safety of everyone in our facilities. The Department of Community Justice has learned that a Juvenile Services Division employee has tested positive for COVID-19. Public health officials confirmed that the employee was not at work while infectious and that there was no worksite exposure.

Additional details cannot be shared about the employee’s protected health information. Public health advised that no additional action is needed at this time. 

“Since COVID-19 reached our state, we have taken significant measures to reduce the spread of the virus throughout the Department of Community Justice,’’ said Director Erika Preuitt. This includes following handwashing guidance and using physical distance and face coverings.

“This continues to be a challenging time, and I deeply appreciate everyone’s concern for this employee and their family.’’
