Washington and Multnomah County Commissioners to select Oregon Senate District 17 replacement
District includes NW Portland and Beaverton suburbs
Multnomah County, Ore. (Nov. 13, 2024) — Following the resignation of Oregon Sen. Elizabeth Steiner on Nov. 6, 2024, from the Oregon Legislature, the Boards of County Commissioners in Washington and Multnomah counties will hold a joint session on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m. to interview candidates and select a replacement for the open position.

The meeting will be held virtually via Multnomah County’s web platform.
The meeting will also be livestreamed from Multnomah and Washington counties’ respective YouTube channels. Members of the public are welcome to attend virtually. To provide testimony, members of the public should sign up here.
