Dear Friends,
As you may or may not have heard, I was unable to deliver my annual State of the County address originally scheduled for Feb. 17, due to a death in my family. My father, who in recent months had been courageously battling pancreatic cancer, passed away in the days leading up to the event. This devastating loss has been extremely difficult for my family and me. I would like to express a heartfelt thanks to everyone who has reached out with kind words of love, support and comfort.
As Multnomah County Chair, I am still very much committed to sharing the direction of the county is going, which is why I am happy to announce that my 2012 State of the County address has been rescheduled for March 23. The event will begin at 12:15 p.m. at the Governor Hotel, located at 614 S.W. 11th Ave.
If you purchased tickets for the original Feb. 17 date and didn’t request a refund or credit, City Club of Portland will automatically transfer your tickets to the new State of the County on March 23. The amount of tickets available for purchase hasn’t been determined, so please contact City Club directly by phone at 503-228-7231 or by email at amy@pdxcityclub.org with any questions.
