Apply now for the Advisory Committee on Sustainability & Innovation (ACSI)

The Office of Sustainability is now accepting applications for the Advisory Committee on Sustainability & Innovation (ACSI). Applicants must live or work in Multnomah County, and cannot be employed by Multnomah County. Stipends are available to support broad participation.

ACSI members provide recommendations and input to the Board of County Commissioners and the Office of Sustainability on policies and programs that help to enhance equity, environmental justice, environmental stewardship, and inclusive prosperity.

Recently, ACSI members have made impactful contributions to the County, like recommending the renaming of the Wapato Bridge and pushing to address poor air quality from diesel pollution and burning wood.

Members are informed by their charter, which was updated in 2021 to acknowledge treaty obligations to tribal nations and to better align with the County’s Environmental Justice resolution.

Members serve on a two-year term, meet quarterly, are invited to attend monthly subcommittee meetings, and are appointed by the Multnomah County Chair.

Applications will be accepted until Sunday, Dec. 8 at 11:59 p.m. Questions? Please email sustainability@multco.us.
