Election Day in Oregon is next Tuesday, May 19; plan ahead to make sure your ballot is returned in time so your vote counts!
Multnomah County, Ore. (May 12, 2026) — Election Day is next Tuesday, May 19.
Voters have two ways to return their ballots:
- Return your ballot to any elections office in Oregon or Official Ballot Drop Site location by 8 p.m. on Election Day
- Return your ballot by mail — no stamp needed!
REMINDER: Multnomah County Elections recommends mailing your ballot no later than this Thursday, May 14, to ensure it is postmarked and received by an election office in time to count.
After May 14, voters who plan to mail their ballots closer to Election Day are encouraged to request a manual postmark at their local USPS office. Check hours and locations before you go.
Make a plan to ensure your ballot is postmarked by — or better yet, before — Election Day.
All Multnomah County Official Ballot Drop Sites are listed at multco.us/dropsites. Official Ballot Drop Site information can also be found in the Multnomah County Voters’ Pamphlet and an interactive map of the County’s drop sites.
Candidate contests for Multnomah County and City of Portland elected offices will not appear on the May 2026 ballot. They will appear on the Nov. 3, 2026, ballot — when County voters will join City of Portland voters in using ranked choice voting in Multnomah County.
