Last weekend, Multnomah County Animal Services (MCAS) celebrated the grand opening of the new adoption center located at 2914 N. Lombard St. in Portland.
The three-day event featured fun, sunshine and several adoptable cats and kittens. At the new location community members can license their pets and access important MCAS services. The North Lombard office will serve as a satellite location for the Multnomah County Animal Services’ main shelter in Troutdale.
Special guests for the grand opening included Multnomah County Commissioner Loretta Smith and Department of Community Services director Kim Peoples.
The center will be open Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
