Judy Black

Judy is a volunteer with Elders in Action and winner of a 2015 Volunteer Recognition Award.

“Judy Black is a warm, compassionate person and a skilled listener. She brings so much to her volunteer work at Elders in Action from her career as a case manager at Multnomah County Adult and Disability Services. She started volunteering to use her skills and keep in touch with issues concerning older adults. In her 10 years in the Personal Advocate Program at Elders in Action she has been a great asset.

Judy shines as a personal advocate volunteer working one-on-one with older adults. She has worked on 75 personal advocate cases. She has helped many older adults: deal with issues following the death of a spouse, resolve consumer problems, complete affordable housing applications, navigate Social Security and more. Elders in Action greatly appreciates Judy’s commitment and all that she brings to the community.”
