Tamara Maher

Tamara is a volunteer with Office of Citizen Involvement and winner of a 2015 Volunteer Recognition Award.

“Tamara Maher is a dedicated member of the Department of County Human Services Citizen Budget Advisory Committee (CBAC). Since joining in 2013, she has represented Elders in Action on our committee. Tamara demonstrates her commitment to this community by volunteering for multiple  organizations in addition to Multnomah County. She has consistently focused on transparency in our budget process and through her detailed analysis of the budget has held the  department to a high standard. As a member of Elders in Action and member of our CBAC she has strongly advocated for seniors and stressed the importance of considering the role of seniors in programs for children and families.

The Department of County Human Services has benefited from her strong analytical skills, thorough questions and thoughtful recommendations.”
