The Stark Street Bridge over the Sandy River will close on Wednesday, November 2, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for a federally-required inspection. Public bridges in the United States are required to have a structural inspection by an independent inspector every two years. When the bridge is closed, the alternate route is the Troutdale Bridge on the Historic Columbia River Highway to the north. Multnomah County maintains the Stark Street Bridge and 269 miles of roads in rural and urban areas. For bridge information, visit: /bridges.
