Event description

The work done at Multnomah County impacts every resident of our community, however it is important to recognize that certain communities bear disproportionate burdens resulting from policy decisions made, and have often been marginalized from the decision-making processes. In this training, sponsored by Commissioner Jessica Vega Pederson, attendees will receive an overview of the history of the environmental justice movement through a presentation, and will learn how to apply the basics of environmental justice principles by participating in an interactive activity.
