On Tuesday, July 4 the Sauvie Island Foot Traffic Flat will impact traffic on the island from 5:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The races cover portions of N.W. Sauvie Island Road, N.W. Gillihan Road and N.W. Reeder Road. Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians should expect potential delays during the event. Runners will use the inside lane on N.W. Gillihan Road, N.W. Sauvie Island Road and N.W. Reeder Road. Traffic will flow counterclockwise for the majority of these hours.
Road impacts and traffic alerts:
- N.W. Sauvie Island Road north of N.W. Reeder Road will be open in both directions during the race. Drivers use caution and give runners enough space.
- N.W. Sauvie Island Road between the bridge and the Reeder/Sauvie Island Road intersection will reopen after 8:15 a.m.
- Traffic will remain counterclockwise on N.W. Reeder Road and N.W. Gillihan Road until 11:00 a.m.
- Expect congestion in front of The Pumpkin Patch from 5:15 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. as runners arrive for the race event and leave for the day.
