TRAFFIC ALERT: This weekend the Hawthorne Bridge will close to all motorized vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians for scheduled maintenance. On Saturday, Sept. 14 at 6:00 a.m. the Hawthorne Bridge will close. The bridge will reopen Sunday, Sept. 15 at 6:00 p.m. This closure is weather dependent. If bridge maintenance needs to be postponed due to weather, the bridge will close the weekend of October 26-27 with the same closure times.

Use alternative routes and plan ahead for your commute.

Multnomah County maintains five Willamette River bridges: the Sellwood, Hawthorne, Morrison, Burnside and Broadway Bridges as well as the Wapato Bridge over the Multnomah Channel. For information, visit https://www.multco.us/bridges.
