Starting next week, crews will be conducting survey work along N.E. Sandy Blvd between N.E. 201st Ave. and N.E. 238th Ave. This work, which involves collecting topographic data, is helpful for engineers to know what’s in and around the road, before designing safety improvements. There will be flaggers on site for short duration lane closures to allow crews to do their work. Topographic features include roadway, driveways, sidewalks, structures, walls, fences, striping, signs, mailboxes, light poles, barriers, guardrails, utilities, ditches, culverts, inlets and manholes.

Crews will take photos, field measurements and observe traffic, bicycle and pedestrian behavior.

This work will be during daytime hours and last four to six weeks. It’s part of a Transportation Planning project focused on improving the safety and user experience along N.E. Sandy Boulevard. For project information, contact: Michael Cook, michael.cook@multco.us.
