We are planning a new Multnomah County Animal Services building. We created the Community Design Advisory Committee (CDAC) to help. This team is made up of appointed local experts and caring community members.
They will give advice to county leaders as we design the building and look for a new location. Their expert knowledge will help us build a modern, affordable center that serves pets and people for years to come.
CDAC Values Statement:
The new MCAS shelter will be a trusted, accessible, community-centered facility that delivers high-quality, low-stress care for animals and pets, supports the staff who serve them, and provides a welcoming and dignified experience for all. Designed to strengthen the human-animal bond and foster lasting pet/human partnerships, and built in a cost effective manner, the shelter will balance calm and efficiency while serving as a resilient community asset built to serve multiple generations.
The CDAC will continue to meet monthly until the end of the concept design process.
