Out4Life is a national organization tackling the challenges of offender recidivism so that our communities are safer places to live. The Out4Life Oregon conference is a great forum for those committed to public safety and breaking the needless cycle of recidivism to come together and develop local solutions. Video footage of the 3-day October meeting in Portland was just made available. Presentations by Scott Taylor, Director, Multnomah County Department of Community Justice (DCJ), Max Williams, Director of the Oregon Department of Corrections, and Steve Berger, Washington County Community Corrections Assistant Director have been posted on the DCJ Website: Out 4 Life Reentry Conference .
The Oregon Conference addressed practical barriers to reintegration, cultivatedcollaborative relationships, and developed fitting strategies to reduce recidivism and restore prisoners to their families and communities.
