On May 8, 2012, the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) held its annual Community Corrections Outstanding Service Awards. During the ceremony Stuart “Stu” Walker, Multnomah County, was recognized as the Parole/Probation Officer of the Year.
The award was presented by Ginger Martin, Assistant Director and head of the Transitional Services Division, who praised Stu for his “dedication, passion and commitment.” Stu Walker works in the Domestic Violence unit in the Department of Community Justice. Stu Walker’s supervisor, Laura Ritchie, Community Justice Manager, shares that “Stu has done an outstanding job working with victims and developing relationships with victim advocates in the community to ensure victims stay safe”.
Stu was presented a plaque on lawn of the DOC headquarters and his portrait will be hung in the rotunda of the Dome Building.
